It is hot, hot, hot here in the South, so we have been spending a lot of time at our neighborhood pool. We are so fortunate to have a beautiful facilty with a Jr. Olympic pool, kiddie wading pool, and lazy river! Swimming with the kids this summer
is much more enjoyable than it was last year, but it is also a lot more work. Ella started out the summer pretty timid, but she is much more brave these days and starting to unwrap herself from our bodies when we swim. Easton is all about the water, which is a little frightening as he cannot swim. He refuses to wear floaties or sit in an intertube, but he also does not want to be held in the water. Um ... not really any options left! We plan to order swim vests for them that should give them more indendence in the water and keep them afloat at the same time. Hopefully this plan will work, because my ever expanding pregnant body is getting too weary to hold two kids in the pool ... no matter how great a diving platform Easton thinks my belly is!

The kids are absolutely adorable. What a great way to spend the hot, steamy summers in the south.
